The Rochester Center for Brain Imaging (RCBI) is a research facility offering a state-of-the- art 3T magnet for the purpose of conducting investigations using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to researchers from the University of Rochester, neighboring institutions, and the science and technology industries.

The primary purpose of the Center is to gather functional MRI data from the normal adult brain while volunteers perform a variety of tasks. The Center is also able to provide structural images of any part of the human body, and spectroscopy of living tissues.

As part of its educational mission, the RCBI offers courses, summer research experiences, and demonstrations for faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students, through the University of Rochester.
