Cardiac Surgery

The Division of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center is proud of the resources and talents it offers to all patients requiring heart surgery.

We are the only group in Upstate New York which provides comprehensive care to all patients, both adults and children. When you turn to us for cardiac surgery, you can rest assured you will receive the most advanced and compassionate surgical treatment available today.

The URMC Heart & Vascular Center has over 80 beds dedicated to the care of patients with a wide array of cardiac conditions from pacemakers to heart transplants. The centers critical care transport team is unique in the area and provides advanced cardiac critical care for patients in need of transfer to the University of Rochester Medical Center. The pediatric cardiac surgery team is the only group in the region available for complex cardiac surgical cases.
