The University of Rochester Web Manual lists "commercial activities not approved by the University" as a violation of the Right to Use University Resources policy. This includes commercial advertising of any non-University goods or services.
The University of Rochester Medical Center expands this policy to include any non-Medical Center goods or services. Use of Medical Center web technology for commercial advertising of this type must be strictly prohibited.
e-Commerce
e-Commerce solutions are available through the University Medical Center if necessary. Due to the many heavy information security issues involved in operating a commerce solution, all requests must be made through Web Services and must follow the established procedures and methods.
