Educational Programs
Welcome! Eastman Institute for Oral Health offers thriving, top notch training programs by setting high standards for patient care, education, research and scholarly activity. Our graduates develop the necessary leadership and clinical skills, technical knowledge and expertise which allow them to provide the best oral health care across the world and/or be involved in academic careers.
We offer a variety of postdoctoral educational opportunities for both U.S./Canadian and internationally trained dentists who work closely with talented, diverse, world-renowned faculty, fellow residents and students and gain extensive exposure to clinical, translational and basic science research.
Our eight (8) GME and five (5) International Postdoctoral programs are approved by the American Dental Association’s (ADA) Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and are recognized by the New York State Education Department. Certificates are awarded upon successful completion of the program.
Graduate Medical Education (GME) Residency Programs
*The AEGD and GPR programs offer dental training opportunities through the Associated General Dentistry Training Program of Rochester (AGDTPR) in conjunction with Rochester General Hospital’s GPR GME program. The AGDTPR was formed to develop cooperative programs in recruitment, didactic course work, clinical activities and securing educational grants.
