Comprehensive Breast Care Center
The Wilmot Cancer Center is changing the way women and men with breast problems get their care. We’ve created the Comprehensive Breast Care Center—dedicated to screening, diagnosing and treating breast cancers. This model, which is unique in upstate New York, will allow a woman who feels a lump to call for an appointment and have her mammogram taken and read by a breast imaging expert, and then if needed, get a biopsy to confirm a suspicious tumor. All members of the breast care team—surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, and nurses—are on site and available to discuss treatment options if cancer is found.
Never before in Rochester has such a diverse team of experts been available to women and men with breast problems.
Where to Find Us
The Breast Center is located on the Ground Floor of the Cancer Center. Radiation Oncology takes up the body of this floor. The Breast Center has its own entry and waiting area directly accessible from the main elevators. Visitors will arrive at the first floor level, either through the Cancer Center's Crittenden Blvd. entrance or through the main hospital lobby (after parking), and arrive to the Breast Center by taking the elevators down one flight the ground floor level.
Features of the Breast Center include:
- 6 Exam Rooms
- 1 Procedure Room
- 2 Mammography Rooms
- 1 Ultrasound Room
- 1 Stereotactic Room
