The Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester is a local grassroots organization dedicated to eradicating breast cancer through action and advocacy. BCCR provides monthly educational programs, a lending library, support groups and other programs.

585-624-5555 Camp Good Days and Special Times provides two camping weekends for the Women's Program at the residential camping facility on Keuka Lake. One weekend is in June, and the other is in September. It is our aim to provide a relaxing weekend for women—take them away from the stress of everyday life and/or treatments.

The Men's Program is a day of fishing on Keuka Lake followed by a barbeque. This event is in September.

Gilda’s Club Rochester is a special place where the focus is on living with cancer. Men, women and children with any kind of cancer and their family members and friends can plan and build life-changing emotional and social support here. At Gilda’s Club, where every membership is free of charge, a community of support is developed in which people of all ages, and with all kinds of cancer, can learn from one another and live more fully.
The Greater Rochester Area Tobacco Cessation Center (GRATCC)

585-530-2050 GRATCC is one of 19 Cessation Centers funded by the New York State Department of Health (Tobacco Control Program). The main goal is to train physicians and other health care providers in a 5 county area (Monroe, Seneca, Ontario, Wayne, and Livingston) in brief evidence-based strategies to counsel and refer their patients who use tobacco. The Center also trains the provider "systems" (e.g., support staff, nurses, etc.) as this is an important component for successful office-based provider interventions. The Center also provides an intensive tobacco dependence treatment (4-6 sessions) at URMC for 200 smokers per year.
