One weekend is in June, and the other is in September. It is our aim to provide a relaxing weekend for women—take them away from the stress of everyday life and/or treatments. The Men's Program is a day of fishing on Keuka Lake followed by a barbeque. This event is in September. |

585-530-2050 | GRATCC is one of 19 Cessation Centers funded by the New York State Department of Health (Tobacco Control Program). The main goal is to train physicians and other health care providers in a 5 county area (Monroe, Seneca, Ontario, Wayne, and Livingston) in brief evidence-based strategies to counsel and refer their patients who use tobacco. The Center also trains the provider "systems" (e.g., support staff, nurses, etc.) as this is an important component for successful office-based provider interventions. The Center also provides an intensive tobacco dependence treatment (4-6 sessions) at URMC for 200 smokers per year. |
