Adult Program
Our Mission
The Blood and Marrow Transplantation Program is dedicated to providing the highest quality care for patients donating and/or receiving stem cells, and to collecting and preparing marrow and blood components for therapeutic use.
History
We have performed over 2,000 transplants since our program started in 1989. Our program provides services to the residents of the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York and its surrounding communities. We have an international reputation for providing superb clinical care.
Scientific and clinical research, an integral aspect of our comprehensive program, offers patients access to the latest advances in technology and drug development.
In September of 1998, we opened an inpatient/outpatient (IPOP) area. This area provides patients with greater continuity of care, by allowing them to be treated on the same unit, by the same team, both inpatient and out. This successful new program has made it possible for many patients to receive the majority of their treatment as an outpatient.
