UMLT08006 - Identifying Incidence and Biomarkers of Venous Thromboembolism in High-Risk Cohort of Patients Initiating a New Chemotherapy Regimen
| Purpose | Some newly diagnosed cancer patients are more likely to develop blood clots, also known as venous thromboembolism (VTE). This study involves collecting blood and studying levels of various markers that may help predict how often a person might develop a blood clot during the first three cycles of chemotherapy. It also involves doing montly ultrasound examinations of both your legs to identify a blood clot before it has caused symptoms. | |||
