Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are specialists who focus on surgery of the face, mouth, jaws and maxillofacial region. After four years of dental school, the oral and maxillofacial surgeon receives four to seven years of hospital-based surgical and medical training.

Some oral and maxillofacial surgeons may seek additional fellowship training in specific areas such as craniofacial surgery, facial cosmetic surgery and other related areas. Patients who are anxious may require sedation for their outpatient surgical experience. We provide sedation and anesthesia care in a monitored, safely administered, and controlled manner, by providers who are well trained in these anesthetic techniques.
