Interview Information

Please review the following deadlines for application submission. Please note that we follow the NRMP rules and regulations. We will only accept applications through ERAS.

* October 1st: Application review begins

* December 1st: Deadline for new ERAS submitted applications

* January 6th: Completion of declinations to be sent

* January 9th: Closure for new information to be accepted for file review

We will offer interviews in a rolling fashion up to January 9th, 2016. If you have not heard from our program by mid December, please contact us to confirm ERAS submission. Despite our desire to interview everyone that applies to our program, we have a limited number of spots available.

Interviews for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program are held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays beginning in November and continuing through mid-January. Emails, confirmation letters, and details regarding the selection and direction for interviewees will be done through ERAS. Although we try our best, it is not possible to accommodate every applicant’s first request for his or her interview date.

Please note: if you decide to cancel your interview after initially accepting, we respectfully request that all cancellations are done in writing at a minimum of 1 week prior to your interview date. This allows your fellow applicants the opportunity to interview with us. If there are travel delays due to weather, we will do our best to accommodate a reschedule, and if not possible we will consider a digital interview.

The Interview Day

Please note that our interview location is “off site” from the medical campus. We will arrange all transport to and from the hotel during your interview day and to the “welcome dinner” the evening prior to your interview from our deferred cost hotel.
We are happy to help cover a portion of the cost of a single night of hotel accommodation for our invited interviewees. The estimated cost of hotel will be twenty-five dollars.

Our residents host a "Welcome Dinner" the evening before each interview day to welcome our applicants. We consider this a great opportunity to have an unfiltered view from the perspective of our residents about program. While this is not mandatory, please strongly consider attending this. The dress code for this event is casual. Transportation will be organized from the hotel. If you are driving on your own, please contact for the address and directions.

If you are interested in shadowing in the ED during the time of your visits or return for a second look, please discuss this with our Program Coordinator, Jessica Moriarty as we are happy to coordinate this.
