Welcome from Program Director
We are pleased to present to you information on one of the most dynamic, challenging ENT residency programs in the nation. When the University of Rochester Medical Center elevated Otolaryngology to department status, it presented opportunities for faculty to flourish in their roles as academic health center physicians, scientists and educators. It also presented opportunities to any resident interested in a training program infused with enthusiasm, possibility, and dedication to quality care.
Our mission statement recognizes our department’s aspirations and intentions, which in turn drive our residency program and its administration. Our goal, quite simply, is to be counted among the leading otolaryngology departments nationally. We focus on state-of-the-art clinical care, research and education in an Academic Medical Center. Therefore, for applicants to our Otolaryngology Residency Program, we can promise you an enlightened, forward-thinking environment that will test your abilities as a physician, as an agent for ongoing discovery and as a human being. We also can promise you an open and fair evaluation of your application.
This website will provide you with a variety of useful information about our program. Direct any questions to our Residency Coordinator, Sheila K. McCart, (585) 276-5181.
