Applicants to the Pediatric Neurology Residency Program should be senior medical students, graduates of an approved United States or Canadian Medical School, or foreign medical graduates who possess an appropriate visa and have been certified through the Visa Qualifying Examination.
Prior to beginning the residency in Pediatric Neurology, the applicant must complete the following:
- Two years of graduate training in Pediatrics in an accredited program in the U.S. or Canada
- One year of graduate training in Internal Medicine, plus one year of graduate training in Pediatrics in accredited programs in the U.S. or Canada
If the applicant has a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, it is possible to do one year of post-doctoral neuroscience research and one year of graduate training in Pediatrics.
Candidates with M.D./Ph.D. degrees or prior research experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
