Consultation, Assessment, Treatment and Support for Persons with Memory Loss and their Care Partners
The University of Rochester Medical Center has opened the doors on a unique, innovative, and multidisciplinary memory care clinic that provides comprehensive evaluation, care, and support for people and families coping with Alzheimer's disease and other causes of progressive memory loss.
The Memory Care Program provides diagnosis, treatment, and care of neurodegenerative conditions that affect the elderly and the aging nervous system. Our program specializes in treating older patients with:
- Memory loss
- Dementia
- Cognitive dysfunction
- Alzheimer’s disease
The Memory Care Program provides:
- Assessment, evaluation, and diagnostic workup
- Ongoing medication management and help with challenging behaviors
- Recommendations for treatment
- Information, education, and support for their care partners
- Referrals for community resources
- Opportunities to participate in research studies
