Graduate studies in Neuroscience at the University of Rochester present exceptional opportunities for students. Neuroscience is a highly interdisciplinary and diverse field, matched by an extensive faculty of over 80 members that span multiple departments and centers across the Medical Center and adjacent College campuses. All are bound by a common interest in understanding the structure and function of the nervous system across different levels of inquiry, from molecules to behavior.
Students in Neuroscience may choose among a rich set of options (degree-granting programs) tailored to individual interests, talents, and career objectives. Training provides students with the research and teaching skills necessary to be successful independent neuroscientists within academic, governmental, or industrial settings. Training at the University of Rochester provides a unique urban environment in which to live and study in the heart of Western New York.
