Dr. O'Brien enjoys caring for people of all ages, from newborns to older adults. She finds that caring for members of the same family can positive impact on the health of each person, while recognizing the importance of individualized medical care.
Dr. O'Brien places an emphasis on preventative medicine within all aspects of pediatric and adult medicine.

Our UR Internal and family medicine experience started decades ago as newlyweds starting a family of three children with Dr. [...]. When that practice was dissolved due to their retirements. My husband and I tried several other UR Providers. The care was adequate, but really uncomparable with what we were accustomed to. We were pleased when we were able to be accepted as a new patients in the new practice and building at Grease Center Drive. It was like a breath of fresh air and we were back home again. My husband and I have many pressing health concerns, and we've always been pleased with the response and care given in every instance for Their thoroughness and referrals. We are grateful for U R Medicine and Highland Hospital. Thank you

When I arrive, she greets with a smile, she listens, and answers my questions. If she doesn't have an answer, she gets back to me.

I am basically in good health and usually only go to the doctor about once per year. Any time I have needed immediate care, I have been seen in a very timely manner. Also, it was very convenient to receive my flu shot at this visit.

My provider is very easy to get ahold of and very helpful when it comes to health-related things. My provider also reminds me of annual flu shots and asks me if I would like to get them within my visit to knock out two birds with one stone.

Unfortunately I did not feel I was heard. Questions and concerns seemed to be considered to be silly and/ or not within the doctors scope of practice. It is unclear if responses were due to overall appearance of conditions, patience presentations of questions, and/or something else.

If a patient is concerned about something write it down. Guide them with follow up and or ideas to try. Speak to them as if they are valued and their concerns are ok.

I am a person who does not want to take medications and this was the first time my doctor didn't try to guilt me into taking medications. I knew I needed a new medication and she showed compassion for my position and was an encouragement to me to finally make the decision to move forward to taking a medication.

Dr O'Brien definitely had to listen to a lot from me and wade through many things to get me the medicines and referrals needed to move forward. Dr O'Brien gave me the time as if I were the only patient she had to see, I never felt rushed or unheard. Thank you.

This practice seems to be very professional. Dr. O'Brien seems very knowledgeable and always explains things calmly and thoroughly. Her assistant, Caroline, is equally kind and efficient.

Although Dr. O'Brien isn't my regular physician. I was very thankful to get in (within a half hour of my phone call). She was wonderful, listened to my concerns and provided treatment plan.

Listen to the parents concern for their child. If it doesn't seem like they are satisfied with the response try and help figure out a solution, instead of a referral to someone else.
