EDUCATION
1977 Bachelor of Nursing degree, Roberts Wesleyan University, , Rochester NY
1989 Master of Science degree, University of Rochester School of Nursing, Rochester NY
Pamela began working in the area of women's health in 1980 using her prior medical and critical care experience in the area of high- risk obstetrics. It was here that she developed a passion in providing care to women which inspired her to pursue an advanced degree to practice as a Womens Health Nurse Practitioner.
In 1995 she was offered a position in the field of Urogynecology, a " newer" specialty of women's health. In 2001 she had the privilege of joining a University of Rochester GYN Specialty Practice where she continued her training with renowned physician specialists in the field of urogynecology but also, menopause, chronic pelvic pain, pediatric gynecology, and vulvar disorders. In 2009 her passion for Urogynecology and the demand of the rapidly growing practice led her to a full time position in this field where she remains today.
Some of the many pleasures of her career involves having been able to care from women from their teens to 100+ years old. She has cared for multigeneration family members and some of her patients have been with her for over 20 years. She has also enjoyed teaching and precepting learners regarding her specialty with OB GYN residents, medical students, nurse practitioner students and others.
She believes that her work is not a job but rather a lifestyle and a passion.
When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, and her dog Zoe and cat Meredith Grey. She also enjoys painting with acrylic and watercolor.
Raised outside of Buffalo, she is a lifeling die hard Bills fan!
