Professional Bio

Dr. Spencer Z. Rosero is Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of Cardiology Clinical Research at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He obtained his medical degree at the State University of New York SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in 1993, and completed his internal medicine, cardiology and electrophysiology training at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society and also serves as Director of the Hereditary Arrhythmias Clinic



Dr. Rosero's research interests focuses on better understanding hereditary arrhythmias such as Long QT syndrome and in futuristic technologies that further the personalization of medicine . He is currently developing an implantable biosensor that uses living cells to provide real-time in-vivo monitoring of biological processes.
