Published dozens of manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals, and a visiting professor and lecturer in leading universities, both nationally and internationally. Author of a number of seminal textbooks, including Differential Diagnosis in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, which has been translated into more than seven languages. He is the sole author of a book published in 2008 by Thieme titled, MRI of Bone and Soft Tissue Tumors and Tumor-Like Lesions, Differential Diagnosis and Atlas. He is the co-author of two books titled, Differential Diagnosis in Computed Tomography, 2nd Edition in 2011 and Differential Diagnosis in Musculoskeletal MRI in 2015 by Thieme Publishers, the latter of which won the PROSE Award for the Best Book in Clinical Medicine in 2016. In 2016, he authored three books in Neuroradiology published by Thieme titled, Differential Diagnosis in Neuroimaging: Brain and Meninges; Differential Diagnosis in Neuroimaging: Head and Neck; and Differential Diagnosis in Neuroimaging: Spine.

Founder and former Director of the Advanced MRI Fellowship Program at UMI, which has trained 55 Fellows from all over the United States since 1999. He was also the Director for the Radiology Residency Program at the University of Rochester from 2010-2017. Recipient of six faculty teaching awards.

Medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin. Completed Residency in Radiology at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, a Fellowship in MRI at the University of Pittsburgh, PA, and a Neuroradiology Fellowship at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Certified by the American Board of Radiology and holds a certificate of added qualification in Neuroradiology.

Member of numerous professional societies, including the American College of Radiology, the International Skeletal Society, the Children's Oncology Group, the American Society of Neuroradiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, Association of University Radiologists, the New York State Radiological Society, and past president of the Rochester Roentgen Ray Society.

Steven P. Meyers, M.D., Ph.D., FACR is a tenured Professor of Radiology, Neurosurgery and Otolaryngology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and specializes in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Computed Tomography, Neuroradiology and Musculoskeletal Imaging. Dr. Meyers is committed to providing compassionate and technologically superior care to his patients. His key areas of clinical specialization and research have included Neuroimaging, Head and Neck imaging, Musculoskeletal MRI, MR and CT angiography. Dr. Meyers has been invited as a Visiting Professor to give lectures nationally and internationally. He is the author and co-author of dozens of scientific and medical articles that have been published in peer-reviewed journals. He is a co-author of the successful textbook, Differential Diagnosis in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Thieme Publishers, which has been translated into other languages including German, Spanish, Italian, Portugese, Greek, Polish, Turkish and Chinese. Dr. Meyers has received six Faculty teaching awards. He is the Founder and former Director of the Advanced MRI Fellowship Training Program at the University of Rochester which has trained 72 Fellows from all over the United States since 1999. Dr. Meyers was also the Director for the Radiology Residency Program at the University of Rochester from 2010-2017.

After earning a Medical Degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Dr. Meyers completed a Residency in Radiology at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, OH, (affiliate of Case Western Reserve University); a Fellowship in MRI at the University of Pittsburgh, PA; and a Neuroradiology Fellowship at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He has Board Certification by the American Board of Radiology, from which he has also received a Certificate of Additional Qualification in the field of Neuroradiology.

Dr. Meyers is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American College of Radiology, the International Skeletal Society, the Children's Oncology Group, the American Society of Neuroradiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, Association of University Radiologists, the New York State Radiological Society, and the Rochester Roentgen Ray Society. He has held several offices in these Organizations such as Councilor to the American College of Radiology and Radiological Society of North America, and Past President of the Rochester Roentgen Ray Society.
