Patient Care Bio
Dr. Papa is a graduate of the SUNY at Stony Brook School of Medicine and completed his medical residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in 1992. He also served as Chief Medical Resident and Fellow in General Internal Medicine at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, NY. Dr. Papa is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Throughout his career, Dr. Papa has received many honors and awards and is listed in the Best Doctors in America.
Dr. Papa currently serves as Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. In addition to active medical practice and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Papa has held various professional positions including president of the Monroe County Medical Society, Regional Board Member of Excellus Rochester, Greater Rochester Health Foundation, the "20/20 Commission" and CTAAB. He is also a regular panelist on the national PBS program "Second Opinion".
