Dr. Poles addressed my medical questions and concerns regarding my [...] which is quite tortuous and reassured me that she will be using a pediatric pentax scope or small scope if needed to advance to a further level to view the colon. Dr. Poles assurred me that she will advance this scope very slowly and will stop if my colon does not allow her to safely advance the scope. She addressed my fears and worries about a possible perforation. I discussed my new symptoms that occurred during the weekend and she explained why this happen and assurred me that this will not interfer with the colonoscopy and she will be able to perform the colonoscopy as planned for [...]. Dr. Poles advised me that she will use a different anesthesia that will allow her to safely advance the scope through my colon and I will not have the extremely uncomfortable experience where I woke up in the middle of the colonoscopy in [...]. I was concerned due to my present [...] fistula would this condition not allow the colon to fill up with air so that I may have a successful complete colonoscopy she addressed this and reassured me and provided me with confidence in knowing that I can take comfort that I am in the hands of a gifted colorectal surgeon who care about her patient well being both physically and mentally. She address my extensive list of allergies and stated that she will be able to recommend a Colon Prep which will allow me to have a successful colonoscopy. Her professional words provided me with a greater understanding, comfort and peace of mind.

Because of other medical issues, there were stressful issues that Dr. Poles knew needed to be addressed & I cannot say enough how great she was dealing with this.

I truly appreciated how Dr. Poles was so open and made me feel relaxed and she addressed the fact that I had questions which I had typed up and had with me. I was thankful that Dr. Poles was honest and stated that she would take my questions and review them and answer them at my next scheduled appointment. I am so thankful that she recognized my medical questions and was willing to discuss them at my next scheduled in person visit and this made me feel respected due to the fact that she was willing to answer my questions and address them! I felt very confident with Dr. Poles - who took the time to do a internal exam which was the first Rectal Exam I had since my onset of my symptoms in [...] of 2021. [...] Dr. Poles is very professional and demonstrates that she has the welfare of her patients first and foremost. Dr. Poles made me feel that she wanted to have me scheduled for a Virtual Colonoscopy to see through the CT scan what is my present internal condition of my colon. She also physical examined me externally and did a complete physical assessment. I was so appreciative of Dr. Poles taking the time with me as a new patient.
