Dr. Ben Wandtke received his medical degree and radiology residency training at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He is fellowship trained in MRI imaging and a specialist in Musculoskeletal Radiology with a clinical interest in sports medicine injuries. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester Medical Center and is certified by the American Board of Radiology. He completed his transitional surgical internship at the University of Pennsylvania and obtained a Bachelors degree in Biology at Colgate University.
As Chief of Radiology and director of MRI at F.F. Thompson Hospital, Dr. Wandtke is focused on improving patient safety, imaging quality, and the patient experience. His areas of interest include optimizing low dose CT scanning protocols, measuring departmental quality metrics, and fostering a team oriented approach to improving the way we care for our patients.
