About Me
Professional Background
During his residency training he was recognized for his teaching skills by the medical school with the Arnold P. Gold Humanism in Medicine Award in 2007 and 2008. He was elected by the graduating medical students in 2008 to the AOA medical honor society. In 2014 he was recognized by the graduating neurology residents at URMC with the Neurology Faculty Teaching Award. He is board certified in both neurology and sleep medicine, by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Marcus specializes in all areas of sleep medicine. His clinical interests focus on the education of both his patients and their families, as well as the community at large, on sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, insomnia, and narcolepsy. Dr. Marcus has academic interests in the association between obstructive sleep apnea and hypertension.
He is the Director of Regional Development for the UR Medicine Sleep Center.

It was difficult to find answere to my problem due to difficulty of connecting with doc between visits. My problems were unbelivable and way out of the normal but he struggled with me to solve them but we could not. Went the extra mile to support me always.
