About the Program

The Pathology Residency Training Program at the University of Rochester provides core rotations through both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Our program is flexible and prepares residents for a career in either academic or community practice. Our elective rotations focus on career development. To assist the career development of our senior trainees, our Resident Research Year-Out Program was developed for those interested in fellowship and faculty opportunities.

Medical students in their second or third year hold year-out fellowship positions for special study in Pathology and complement the resident staff as externs.
