Prior to coming to Rochester, Dr. Ryan worked as the Chief Medical Officer of the Kowak Medical Center in Kowak, Tanzania, operating a 40-bed mission hospital that saw 2000 patients a year. While there, Dr. Ryan published a manual for physician's assistants.

To many bad experiences to mention. Pays attention to his computer more than me, doesn't go over blood test results except for a1c. Never asks me about concerns, or questions. Always in a hurry to get out of the exam room. Just goes thru the motions, not attentive to patient needs.

Every nurse and receptionist, Doctor Ryan, and the student doctor, were all wonderful and went out of their way to make sure I got immediate care despite symptoms being mild.

Dr. Gregory Ryan is always frank and encouraging. He patiently explains causes and treatments for the many 'conditions' that I and my husband encounter. He is very prompt to answer my occasional messages on the My Chart system. Nurse Carole is knowledgeable and friendly. We never feel rushed or 'put down.'

I went to the office for a complete physical. I was surprised that the visit was no different than my 6 month routine check ups. The doctor did not examine my eyes, ears, throat, skin, extremities, reflexes or balance. In the past the doctor spent at least 30 minutes with me for a physical and took time making a thorough exam. This time after the nurse took my vitals, the doctor only listened to my heart, lungs and abdomen with the stethoscope and he felt my neck and abdomen. My supplemental health insurance covers a complete physical each year. My last complete physical was in September 2021.This felt more like a [...] Wellness exam. I had called the office two weeks ago to make sure I was listed as a complete physical and was told I was.

Dr. Ryan was awesome, and prioritized me as he knew I was having an actual problem. Also, I've spoken with Carol in the office many times over the years, she is very caring and always gets the right providers involved, and I get a call back really fast. It is comforting to speak with her when I call in because she knows me on some level, even if it's just recognizing my name as a patient, and this connection means a lot. This office is very good at responding, and I really appreciate that.
