Recent Fundraisers

  • On Feb. 28, Henrietta and Irondequoit IHOP restaurants hosted National IHOP Pancake Day. Watch this great morning show story from YNN.

  • The Ugly Disco on Feb. 25 was a night to behold at the Riverside Convention Center. Check out this great story from YNN on the evening.
  • The Battle of the Beaks games took place at St. John Fisher and Nazareth Colleges in January and February. Every penny from admissions, commemorative t-shirt sales and prize raffles was raised to benefit Golisano Children’s Hospital at URMC.
  • Judy Grebner took orders through her tupperware fundraising catalog and donated a portion of the proceeds to Golisano Children's Hospital.
  • On Feb. 10, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) University of Rochester Chapter held a variety show to benefit Golisano Children's Hospital.
  • The Winter Walk for Strong Kids was held on Feb.  5 at the Shults Center at Nazareth College.

  • The Cycle for Hope event on Feb.  4 benefitted Golisano Children's Hospital and Camp Good Days and Special Times.

  • Oct. 27-Jan. 27, Local Bruegger's stores held a Bruegger's Bottomless Mug Promotion from Oct. 27 through Jan. 27, to benefit Golisano Children's Hospital.

  • Local IHOP restaurants donated one free kids' meal with every donation of $5 to Golisano Children's Hospital on Jan. 25. Thank you to our former Miracle Makers for serving up another donation to help the kids in our region.
  • The Milburn family hosted a casino bus trip to Seneca Falls, to benefit the NICU at Golisano Children's Hospital on March 4.
  • The Shaw family hosted the Awesome 80s Prom on March 16. Read about the care their daughter received here.
  • On March 24, the Finger Lakes Kiwanis Club aimed to collect a Quarter Mile of Quarters for Golisano Children's Hospital at Eastview Mall.

  • The 5th annual Keeping Hope Strong event took place at Lovin’ Cup on March 24. The Mitchell family holds this great annual event to celebrate their Miracle Kid, Mason Mason. For more information, please call 585-703-6088.
  • On March 30, Smile Spaghetti Dinner, Nazareth College’s Communication Sciences and Disorders Association (CSDA) teamed up with Golisano Children’s Hospital to host this fifth annual fundraiser to benefit the hospital's Pediatric Cleft and Craniofacial Center.
  • On March 31, Ms. Ida Wheeler hosted the Dance Strong Competition.
  • On March 31, 2009 Miracle Makers Tops Friendly Markets hosted its 6th annual Monte Carlo Night.
  • On March 31, the Brushes hosted the 10th and final Taylor Brush Memorial Dinner Dance, River’s Edge Party House. To read about the Brushes' involvement with the hospital, click here.
  • On April 10, La Salon Bianca held an Moroccan Oil fundraiser to benefit Golisano Children's Hospital.
  • On April 13, the parents of 2009 Miracle Kid Cory Milburn, Mike and Patti, held friendly card tournament to benefit Golisano Children's Hospital's NICU.

  • On April 14, the Genesee Kiwanis Club held their annual Quarter Mile of Quarters event at Marketplace Mall.

  • Flowers4Julia. Heather VanDeMark and her mother, Joyce Amici, sold flowers for Mother's Day, in memory of Heather's daughter Julia. For more information, please visit www.flowers4julia.com.
  • On April 28, Ms. Ida Wheeler held a Talent Show for Tots and Teens to benefit Golisano Children's Hospital.

  • On May 19, the 2nd annual Jordan’s Journey Benefit Dinner was held at Red Fedele’s Brook House, 3590 W. Ridge Road, Rochester. This casino-themed event included appetizers, $500 in chips and chances to win some great prices.

  • On May 19, Tag Along with Tyler and Team Colby held a Car Wash Fundraiser for their Stroll for Strong Kids teams at the American Legion Post 286, 200 East Union St., Newark from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Watch a video with Jeanette George, captain of Team Colby, about why she supports the Stroll for Strong Kids.

  • On May 22, the Western New York Golfing for Kids Tournament took place at the Terry Hills Golf Course in Batavia, and was sponsored by Walmart and Sam’s Clubs.
