Pediatric Rheumatology

Our Services and Programs

Rheumatologists deal with many complex illnesses. These conditions can:

  • Be challenging to diagnose (there is generally no single blood test or other procedure that provides a definitive result)
  • Require creativity and persistence for successful treatment
  • Often change or evolve over time
  • Affect every child differently
  • Be chronic (persistent over time) affecting many aspects of your child's life

That means our approach to care must be personalized, comprehensive, and collaborative. Our physicians develop individualized care plans for every child, integrating expert opinion and advice from a broad range of other healthcare professionals, including orthopedists radiologists, physical and occupational therapists, and psychological support services. Our common goals are to help your child achieve his or her highest physical, cognitive, and psychological function; be in less pain; and achieve an improved quality of life.
