Overview

Cosmetic injectables are a non-surgical treatment to reduce wrinkles and lines, add volume, lift sagging skin, reduce neck fat, and treat cellulite. Injectable dermal fillers can give you a more youthful look by filling in hollows, lines, and wrinkles, with results that can last from months to years.

Fillers can be used to:

Create plumper lips
Lift and enhance cheeks
Lighten dark circles under eyes by adding volume in the tear trough
Soften smile lines
Smooth vertical lip lines, "marionette lines," and chin wrinkles
Create more youthful looking hands and chest

Other types of injectables, such as Botox®, relax the muscle under the wrinkle to reduce the appearance of existing wrinkles caused by frowning, squinting, and smiling, and prevent new ones from forming. They can reduce frown lines, wrinkles around the eyes (such as crow's feet), forehead creases, furrows between the brows, and neck wrinkles.

When treating cellulite, an enzyme injection is used to dissolve the fibrous bands that contribute to the appearance of dimpling.

To reduce neck fat, an injectable helps break down and absorb dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, an injectable destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin.

The number of treatments varies based on your personal preferences and the treatment you decide to go forward with. With Botox and fillers, minimal treatment is needed to see results and these effects typically last about three to four months. The number of treatments will vary based on your personal needs.
