10TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON THE MECHANISMS AND TREATMENT OF NEUROPATHIC PAIN - November 1 - 3, 2007. Salt Lake City, Utah. Activity Director: Robert H. Dworkin, PhD. This conference has two primary goals: first, to review the most recent advances in understanding mechanishsm and improving treatment in patients with neuropathic pain; second, to provide multiple opportunities for participant interaction. There will be three dinner workshops - one focusing on treating the patient with refractory neuropathic pain, one providing an update on FDA guidance for neuropathic pain, and one discussing the "ABCs" of obtaining NIH research funding. There will also be a roundtable on placebo responses in clinical trials and clinical practice. Finally, there will be lunch and dinners sessions with presentations and discussion of several timely issues related to the assessment and treatment of neuropathic pain.
