Funding Opportunities
Major goals of the UR D-CFAR are to:
- Catalyze new multidisciplinary research on HIV/AIDS. This will be achieved by funding Pilot Awards that emphasize new collaborative efforts in emerging areas of HIV research, studies involving investigators new to HIV/AIDS, and studies in the “areas of opportunity” that were identified during our strategic planning process (i.e., prevention/behavior-related studies, interactive research in Optics and Nanomedicine, mathematical/computational modeling, and international collaborations).
- Recruit new investigators to HIV/AIDS research. This will be achieved by funding Career Development Awards that support young faculty members, and provide them with the resources and support necessary to achieve independent funding in HIV/AIDS research.
