Interview Information

We invite applicants to interview starting in September. Interviews occur from November through January and are scheduled on most Mondays throughout these months.

Applicants are asked to arrive Sunday night and are invited to dine with a group of current residents in a comfortable social atmosphere. These residents do not sit on the application committee and are interested only in answering questions and helping you learn about the program in general.

Monday is usually our interview day, beginning at 7:00 a.m. with breakfast and a greeting from our Program Director. For the rest of the day, applicants can expect to spend time being interviewed by two or three faculty members along with taking a tour of the hospital and the operating rooms. Lunch will be provided—another opportunity to mingle with our residents. The entire interview day should be completed by 3 p.m., allowing applicants to travel during the afternoon and evening if need be.
