Applicants who are selected for an interview are notified by email and/or phone. Interviews are usually held between January and March of each year, and they will be arranged on an individual basis on a day and time which is mutually agreed upon. In-person interviews are preferred, so that prospective residents can get a better understanding or our program and we can better get to know you. However phone interviews can be arranged if necessary. For those interviewing for the combined family medicine/general preventive medicine residency slot, interview arrangements will be made through the Department of Family Medicine and we will interview you on an adjacent day.
The Interview Day
Applicants can expect to talk with multiple faculty members during their interview day as well as one or two current residents. If there is a particular faculty member either in the department or elsewhere in the medical center, please let us know in advance so we can attempt to arrange a meeting with that person. If the interview occurs over a meal period, your meal will be provided.
