Infection in the Immunocompromised Host

Investigators from the Department of Pediatrics and Strong Children’s Research Center form the largest component of the University of Rochester’s Lung Biology Program.  Ongoing investigations focus on pulmonary infections in the immunocompromised host and include studies of Pneumocystis carinii and pathogenic fungi and viruses.  In addition to individual investigator research and training grant support, this program is funded by a program project grant and a T32 fellowship grant from the NIH.
