Application Process
Prerequisite: A minimum of three years of postdoctoral training in a general pediatric residency is required.
Application: For consideration to our Fellowship Program please submit:
- Personal statement telling us about yourself, your pediatric interests, long term plans, and specific fellowship training goals.
- Letters of recommendation from the Chief of Pediatrics and two other faculty members who have worked with the candidate during the past 2 years.

Candidates are required to visit Rochester for personal interviews with members of the faculty and to meet with current fellows.
Selection criteria include:
- A highly satisfactory residency performance
- Previous research or other creative experiences that are relevant to general pediatrics, health services research, community pediatrics, or other disciplines relevant to the fellowship (e.g., hospital medicine)
- United States citizenship
- Career goals consistent with those of our fellowship program.
