Professional Bio
Dr. Friedman received her BSM, MD, and MPH degrees from Northwestern University in Chicago. She completed her residency in General Internal Medicine at Hopkins Bayview in Baltimore, before doing a 3-year Geriatrics fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. After 5 years on faculty at Johns Hopkins, based at Hopkins Bayview, she moved to the University of Rochester in 2000. Her research interests are in health services and outcomes research, and include models of long-term care, falls and fractures in older adults, and issues related to comorbidity.
