Patient Care Bio
A primary care physician with additional training in geriatrics and mental health, Dr. Wittink's clinical work focuses on older adults with multiple chronic conditions. She is an attending physician in the Behavioral Medical and Surgical Unit (BMSU) at Strong Memorial Hospital. The BMSU is a unit that uses a multidisciplinary team approach to care for patients with acute and concomitant medical and behavioral conditions. Dr. Wittink is involved in medical student and resident teaching focused on primary care mental health and the care of the complex patient. She is passionate about working with patients to find ways to cope with the day to day management and prevention of disease in order to improve their overall quality of life.
