Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing scientists are vastly underrepresented in biomedical and behavioral sciences, facing unique obstacles to starting or maintaining a career in medicine or academia. The UR CTSI is dedicated to helping students and trainees clear those hurdles and successfully launch a career in academic research or teaching. In partnership with the Rochester Institute of Technology, we offer programs that train and support Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students and trainees to advance from a master’s degree through postdoctoral training.
