This free, self-paced Blackboard course is designed to help University of Rochester principle investigators plan and prepare funding proposals to the National Institutes of Health to support multi-site clinical studies.
Goals
The UR CTSI has developed a Blackboard course to help principal investigators create NIH funding proposals for multisite studies. The course consists of six main modules to guide investigators through the proposal development process:
- Developing Idea: Draft Proposal
- Finding Funding
- Seek Internal or External Support or Resources
- Making Decisions and Finalizing the Budget
- Submit Proposal to the Sponsor After Internal Review
- Sharing Notification with Collaborators

How to Enroll
- Log into learn.rochester.edu using your UR/URMC Active Directory credentials
- Select the Courses tab.
- If you are already enrolled, CTSI Multisite Studies in Clinical Research will be listed in your Course List. Select to access.
If CTSI Multisite Studies in Clinical Research is not listed, you may self enroll:
- Log into learn.rochester.edu using your Active Directory credentials.
- Select the Courses tab on the left-hand toolbar, then select the Course Catalog option in the upper righthand corner of the screen.
- Search for "CTSI Multisite Studies in Clinical Research" in the search catalog box, ensuring the creation date is before the current date, and click "Go."
- Hover over "CTSI.MultiSiteResearch" and click the dropdown arrow, then select "Enroll."
- The UR CTSI Research Education Hub should now be listed in your Course List.

University of Rochester investigators with experience conducting single-site clinical trials.
