This Blackboard module contains various videos and website links that provide helpful statistical programming and database design resources.

Goals

This course will help you:
  • Use R for statistical programming
  • Gain database design skills
  • Use REDCap for your database

Enroll

To access this course, you must enroll in the CTSI Research Education Hub on Blackboard:

  1. Log into learn.rochester.edu using your UR/URMC Active Directory credentialslearn.rochester.edu interface with Courses and Course Catalog highlighted in yellow.
  2. Select the Courses tab.
  3. If you are already enrolled, CTSI Research Education Hub will be listed among your "CONTINUOUS" courses. Select that.
  4. Scroll down to Learning Modules and select it.
  5. Select the Statistical Programming and Database Design module.

If CTSI Research Education Hub is not listed:

  1. Log into learn.rochester.edu using your Active Directory credentials.
  2. Select the Courses tab on the left-hand toolbar, then select the Course Catalog option in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
  3. Search for "CTSI Research Education Hub" in the search catalog box, ensuring the creation date is before the current date, and click "Go."
  4. Hover over "SMD.CTSI.BERD" and click the dropdown arrow, then select "Enroll."
  5. The UR CTSI Research Education Hub should now be in your Course List.

PM 410 Introduction to Data Management and Analysis

This asynchronous course provides an introduction to data management and analysis using Excel, SAS, and R.  Through a mixture of recorded lectures and assignments, students gain experience in workflows for creating analytical data in Excel/SAS and R.
