Neuroscience Internship Program at the University of Rochester
We are thrilled to announce that the NeuroEast Program is officially being renamed to Neuro-RocHS! This change reflects our commitment to be more inclusive by expanding our program beyond East High School.
Since 2021 Neuro-RocHS — a Del Monte Institute for Neuroscience Diversity Commission program — has been offering Rochester City School District (RCSD) high school students first-hand experience in University of Rochester neuroscience research labs. Students learn how science is conducted, are mentored on navigating education and training necessary to pursue a career in research, and receive a stipend for their involvement.Neuro-RocHS embodies the Neuroscience Diversity Commission mission — creating opportunities for students from disadvantaged backgrounds to explore and experience the field of neuroscience, and to guide those interested into the research field.
Neuro-RocHS is funded by a generous grant from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation.
