Great News!
We're thrilled to announce that RG&E has once again provided a generous grant of $5,000 through their Community Outreach program in support of our Meals on Wheels program! This support will go a long way in helping us deliver nutritious meals and care to those in need.A big thank you to RG&E for their continued partnership and commitment to our community!
Nutritious Meals
Our recipes and menus are designed by a registered dietitian. Meals are lower in sodium and fat than many commercially-prepared options and each meal provides one-third of the daily dietary reference intake of nutrients. We also offer low lactose, ground, no concentrated sweets, and kosher options.
Friendly Visits
Meals are delivered by screened, compassionate, and caring volunteers who are always ready with a pleasant greeting and a warm smile.
Safety Checks
Volunteers notify office staff if a participant doesn’t come to the door to accept a meal or if something seems amiss. Office staff, in turn, will notify a participant’s emergency contact – a local family member, friend, or neighbor – of the situation. Gives peace of mind to loved ones who can't always be there.
