Pediatric Orthopaedics
URMC Pediatric Orthopaedics provides surgical and nonsurgical care for infants, children, and adolescents. Our scope of practice includes the treatment and management of all pediatric musculoskeletal problems, from common fracture care to complex cases such as limb deformities, neuromuscular disease and spine deformities.
The Pediatric Orthopaedics Division Difference:
- We have the area’s only fellowship-trained pediatric orthopedists whose practice is dedicated solely to the care of infants, children, and adolescents.
- Orthopaedic issues in children and teens can be quite different than in adults. Our physicians have special training and understanding of growth and development as well as treating injuries in immature bones.
- We provide a team approach to the care of complex problems, collaborating with with other medical and surgical specialists as well as physical therapists, occupational therapists, and orthotists specially trained in the care of children.
- Comprehensive orthopaedic evaluations, imaging, treatment, and rehabilitation are all available at one convenient location in our state of-the-art facility at Clinton Crossings.
- Outpatient Urgent Care is available when medically necessary. Patients referred by their primary care physician may be seen on the same day between the hours of 8 am and 7:30 pm.
- Inpatient care is provided through Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong, one of the leading pediatric institutions in the country and the only hospital in the Rochester, NY nine county region dedicated exclusively to the care of children.
