Shoulder and Elbow
The Shoulder and Elbow Division at URMC provides in-depth care of the shoulder and elbow, from consultation through treatment and rehabilitation, to patients of all ages.
Our physicians are fellowship-trained and have the highest level of expertise in diagnosing and treating problems both conservatively and with the most updated surgical techniques.
Our on-site physical therapists specialize in shoulder rehabilitation and our Certified Hand Therapists specialize in elbow rehabilitation as well.
We offer many specialized services such as:
- Minimally invasive arthroscopy of the shoulder to treat most shoulder problems–performed on an outpatient basis
- Elbow Arthroscopy to treat tennis elbow, arthritic elbow, and stiff elbow
- Reconstruction of the shoulder and elbow using minimally invasive techniques, as well as complex reconstruction techniques such as tendon transfers, revision surgery, and reverse shoulder arthroplasty
Testing, treatment, and physical therapy services are all available under one roof at our convenient Clinton Crossings location in Brighton. Surgeons and therapists collaborate closely to ensure coordinated care.
Our physician-scientists contribute to the international orthopaedics community by writing medical journal articles and book chapters on the most advanced surgical techniques.
