How to Apply

Curriculum/Rotations

The Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship is a one-year pediatric fellowship for Pediatric Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants who are interested in gaining additional training in acute care pediatrics. The fellowship will have an emphasis on quality, evidence-based patient care, development of technical and procedural skills, and development of a Quality Improvement project.

The fellow will be mentored by experienced APPs and specialty physicians working in acute care pediatrics. The fellows will have protected time for didactic education, development of QI work, and high-fidelity simulations. The fellow will work in an academic inpatient setting and will be exposed to ambulatory subspecialties. Didactic education will include collaboration with the pediatric residency program as well as subspeciality fellowship programs.
As part of the training, semiannual performance evaluations will be conducted and monthly mentorship meetings with the Program Director will occur throughout the fellowship.
