The Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (NDBP) is committed to improving the health and well-being of children, youth, and families affected by developmental and behavioral disorders. The interdisciplinary faculty and staff are engaged in clinical care, community outreach, research and training (fellowship) activities.
The Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities (SCDD) within our Division is a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) and is one of 67 federally funded centers advocating for individuals with developmental disabilities across the life span through teaching, service, and research.
- Services and Programs: Clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and specialty care for children with known or suspected developmental delays or disabilities.
- Community Education and Technical Assistance: Includes community-based initiatives for children, transition age youth, and adults with developmental disabilities, including Autism.
- Research: Research programs address Autism, Neurotoxicology, Seychelles Child Development Program, and Aging and Developmental Disabilities, among others.
- Fellowships: Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship and interdisciplinary Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program in addition to medical student, resident, and other training opportunities.
