Wish List: Child Life
Child Life specialists work closely with children and adolescents to help them emotionally prepare for surgical procedures and understand what they’re being treated for and why. The department is requesting items like comfort box supplies to help distract and alleviate anxiety for children undergoing medical procedures. | Care Bags for Children in the ED (150 for a set) (2) | The Care Bags are bags that will be given out to children 3 yrs and older who are in the Pediatric Emergency Department receiving care. These provide activities for the child to do while they are there and that they can keep. |

| Portable DVD Players (3) | DVD players are needed to help with children who have limited mobility in their beds and needs diversion and relaxing activities to engage in. Parents may also bring in familiar movies to help comfort their child and will need a DVD player to use. |
