Wish List for Pediatric Inpatient Psychiatry Unit

The Pediatric Inpatient Psychiatry Unit at GCH has 25 beds dedicated for children and adolescents in need of acute psychiatric care. Patients come to us from across the region, often in the midst of a mental health crisis. Typical admissions are 7-10 days, although may be shorter or longer depending of the needs of the patient and family.

Admissions take place during a very stressful time for our patients and their caregivers. While we strive to provide a healing environment, resources are lacking. Your generosity can bring some comfort to our patients throughout their stay.

We need the following items:

• Pajama pants (sizes S – 2XL) **no strings
• Hair brushes (Wetbrush)
• Small or medium Sqiushmallows
• Travel sized soaps, shampoos, conditioners, lotion
• Body lotion
• Hair care products (including for coily hair types)
• Deodorant
• Slipper Socks
• T-shirts (size S-2XL)

• Pipsqueak Crayola Markers
• Origami paper
• Small puzzles
• Flip flops/shower shoes
• Paint by sticker books
• Uno-type card games
• Soft, small stress balls or cubes (similar to Nee Doh)
• Books for young teens
