Andrew is a faculty Associate in the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from SUNY Buffalo, a Master in Science in Human Movement Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Masters in Business Administration from the Simon Graduate School of Business. He is certified as a Sports Therapy Specialist by the American Physical Therapy Association ABPTS, as an athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification and as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is licensed in New York as a Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer. Andrew is active professionally both clinically and with research and teaching. He is Past President and a member of the executive Council of the NYSATA. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Andrew has experience with youth and high school athletes, NCAA Division I – III athletes as well as professional athletes from both the minor and major leagues. His clinical specialties include physical therapy following shoulder, knee, and running injuries, use of custom orthotics, and lower quarter biomechanical evaluations. With a special interest in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury prevention, Andrew is currently researching ACL injury prevention and the effects of prevention programs on long-term outcomes of ACL reconstruction patients. He has experience teaching and lecturing in biomechanics and sports and orthopaedic physical therapy. He is a certified clinical instructor of Physical Therapy students. He offers presentations to the community and lectures for healthcare providers on sports injury prevention and rehabilitation. Andrew also provides safety lectures on prevention of injuries in young athletes, and coaches youth football and baseball. He has been with University Sports Medicine since 2000. |

Greg holds a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training (with an emphasis in Kinesiology) and a Masters of Education and Professional Development from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. He is certified as an Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification and as an Instructor by the American Red Cross. Greg has worked as a pre-season intern for the National Football League Kansas City Chiefs, as an intern for the semi-professional A-League soccer team, and as a collegiate athletic trainer for the HWS College men’s soccer and hockey teams. His personal interest in sports includes watching the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badger teams. Greg enjoys educating the general public in prevention, management, and treatment of everyday and sports related injuries. His focus is on helping individuals return to their active lifestyle. Greg currently works with McQuaid Jesuit High School, covering contact and athletic competitions. Greg joined University Sports Medicine in 2008. |

Tanya has a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Russell Sage College and a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. She is credentialed as a Clinical Instructor by the American Physical Therapy Association, as an Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Training Association (NATA) and as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Tanya is also credentialed in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy of the spine by The McKenzie Institute. Tanya is licensed in New York as a Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer. Tanya is active clinically and professionally in research, treatment, and teaching. She is currently conducting athletic injury epidemiology research. Tanya is co-chair of University Sports Medicine's Clinical Excellence Committee, member of the Orthopaedic Quality Council and is also the clinic's Quality Assurance/ Quality Improvement officer. Tanya also has experience teaching and lecturing in orthopaedics and sports medicine. She is a frequent speaker in the community as well as a guest lecturer at Nazareth College and SUNY Brockport. Tanya is a competitive athlete and enjoys sports, particularly ultimate, kayaking, and hiking. Her treatment philosophy is cooperative, with an emphasis on goal setting and achievement with all members of the rehab team, of which the patient is primary. Tanya has been with USM since 2001. |

John joined University Sports Medicine in 2000 after serving as Head Athletic Trainer for the University of Rochester for 26 years. He holds a Bachelors in Physical Education from Purdue University and a Masters Degree in Education with emphasis in exercise physiology and biomechanics from SUNY Brockport. John is certified as an Athletic Trainer by both the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the NY State Education Department. John offers one-on-one functional evaluations and sports performance training, lectures to coaches and athletes on performance training, injury prevention, and biomechanical analysis of athletic technique. He also provides athletic training service at Pittsford Central School District. John has won over 20 national rowing championships in sculling and sweep rowing over a 40-year rowing career. |

Christopher Joined University Sports Medicine in 2000 after training that includes a BS/MPS in physical therapy from Upstate Medical University of Syracuse. He is certified as both a Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and a Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is a Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association. |

Allyson holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Fitness and Athletic Training from Springfield College and is an Athletic Trainer certified by both the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification and the New York State Athletic Trainers Association. Allyson brings over 20 years of dynamic expertise caring for teams and individuals ranging from young novices to international amateur and professional and mature Masters athletes. She blends holistic and traditional cutting-edge approaches with high energy and motivation. She is an American Red Cross Instructor as well as a Reiki Master. Allyson co-chairs the Continuing Education Committee and is a leader on the Strong Commitment Committee. She organizes and presents multiple educational programs for area healthcare professionals and the community. She also conducts sport concussion injury research. Allyson has written several clinical rehabilitation programs. She has held leadership positions throughout the country for the National Athletic Trainers Association individual state organizations and has been an examiner for the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification. She also provides medical coverage during athletic competitions in high schools and colleges in the Rochester, NY area. Currently matriculated in the Simon Graduate School of Business Masters in Medical Management program, Allyson expects to receive her degree in 2008. Christopher joined University Sports Medicine in 2009. He earned his Bachelor's of Science degree in Athletic Training from Quinnipiac University. Christopher is certified as an Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainer's Association Board of Certification. He works with all sports related injuries, but has a special interest in the mechanics of shoulder injuries, which was developed during his time playing semi-pro baseball in Maryland. In Christopher's free time, he enjoys playing indoor soccer and working out at the World Gym in Webster. |

Adam holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University at Buffalo. He is certified as both a Physical Therapist by the New York State Education Department and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Adam's personal interests range from summer sports, which include golfing, running, and hiking, to the winter sports such as snowboarding, snowshoeing, and playing indoor racquetball. Adam is currently participating in a residency program for Physical Therapists who want to gain more experience with sports related injuries and the process of rehabilitation. The residency leads to a certification board exam through the American Physical Therapy Association. Adam joined University Sports Medicine in 2008. |

Shawn joined University Sports Medicine in 2005. She provides rehabilitation training and therapy to active people who wish to return to their previous level of performance. With dual certifications in physical therapy from the American Physical Therapy Association and athletic training from the National Athletics Trainers Association Board of Certifications, Shawn provides occasional coverage in the community outreach program that USM provides to area schools in the Rochester, NY area. Shawn also serves on the Clinical Excellence Committee. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Athletic Training from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and a Masters degree and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from SUNY Upstate Medical University. |

Geoffrey received his Masters in Physical Therapy in 2004, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from D'Youville College in 2009. He has 5 years of orthopaedics physical therapy experience, and joined University Sports Medicine in 2008. Geoffrey is involved in research and protocol committees charged with developing evidence based protocols for our sports medicine practice, and is committed to clinical excellence. He is also a certified clinical instructor by the APTA, and is active with student education in the clinic. Outside of work, Geoffrey enjoys many sports, including snowboarding, football, basketball, swimming, and running. |

He earned an AAS, Physical Therapy Assistant from Genesee Community College and a BS in Physical Education and Athletic Training from SUNY Brockport. Todd has worked in sports-specific injury rehabilitation, functional training, and performance enhancement since 1997. As a Certified Athletic Trainer, Todd provides emergency management of sports related injuries. You may find him on area golf courses, or rink side at the Buffalo Sabres home games. As a former competitive cross-country and track and field athlete, Sarah identifies well with distance runners.She uses her expertise in biomechanics to help her patients return to running. Sarah is a Certified Athletic Trainer and has been with University Sports Medicine since 2002. She earned a Bachelors degree in Physical Education and Athletic Training from John Carroll University and a Masters degree in Recreation and Sports Sciences from Ohio University. Sarah is certified as an Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification and as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She is a member of the Clinical Excellence Committee and is active in bringing the ACL Injury Prevention Program to area high school female athletes. Sarah is ideally suited for her role as a High School Outreach Athletic Trainer for Our Lady of Mercy High School. When Sarah is not helping athletes pursue their return to sports, she enjoys running, biking, and hiking the trails throughout the Greater Rochester area. |

Shannon earned a Bachelors degree from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Rochester. She is also credentialed as Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association. She has been with University Sports Medicine since 2000 serving active and athletic patients in need of rehabilitation of hip and sacroiliac dysfunction and other spinal conditions. As a former swimmer, she empathizes well with associated upper extremity overuse injuries. Shannon is also a Guest Lecturer and Research Mentor in Ithaca College’s Physical Therapy program and chair of the Clinical Research Committee at University Sports Medicine with a particular interest in outcomes after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, health promotion, and injury prevention. She also facilitates staff continuing education regarding treatment of back pain. |

Kostantinos earned a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Nazareth College of Rochester, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and has completed the McKenzie Low Back Pain Course. He joined University Sports Medicine in 2004. Kostantinos prides himself on his expertise in rehabilitating a variety of sports medicine injuries gained while working with high-level athletes at the University of Texas Sports Medicine Department. He also offers orthotic casting services. Kostantinos is studying for an MBA with a health care management concentration at the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester, but still finds time for playing soccer, downhill skiing, and wakeboarding. |

Nicole is the case study coordinator for the sports rehabilitation staff and is a member of the Clinical Excellence Committee. Nicole is active all year long with mountain/road biking, skiing, and rollerblading. |
