George A. Porter,
M.D., Ph.D., Chief

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology provides a full range of ambulatory and inpatient diagnostic and consultative cardiac services for infants, children, adolescents, and adults with congenital and acquired cardiac problems, including long-term care and preventive cardiology services. Specialized services for the following subgroups of patients exist: adults with congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathy and heart failure, fetal cardiology, cardiovascular genetics, hypertension, lipid, and dysrhythmias.

Golisano Children's Hospital is the Western New York regional referral center for cardiac surgery. The Division of Pediatric Cardiology works closely with the Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Division, providing team-based management of postoperative patients. Our surgical results are among the best in the nation.

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology is committed to teaching medical students and residents, including offering a strong ACGME accredited Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship program.

Clinical research activities include such areas as clinical outcomes and preventive cardiology.
