The Pulmonary Division provides inpatient and outpatient consultation services for pediatric patients with respiratory disease. Faculty oversee the Pediatric Pulmonary Function Laboratory, the Pediatric Bronchoscopy Service, the Cystic Fibrosis Center, a large population of children with asthma, and work closely with the Sleep Disorders Center. The division also coordinates inpatient allergy consultations.

There is broad formal and informal teaching of pulmonary physiology and disease through conferences, electives, and informal patient management discussions. We also train fellows through an ACGME accredited training program.

Research activities are focused on clinical studies of cystic fibrosis, respiratory syncytial virus bronchiolitis and lung disease in preterm infants.
