MacKenzi Hillard, M.D.

MacKenzi Hillard, M.D.

Third Year Fellow

MacKenzi received her medical degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where she also completed her residency training in pediatrics. She is interested in medical student and resident education, and is working to complete a Master’s degree in Health Professions Education. In her free time, MacKenzi enjoys being outdoors, running, and spending time with family and friends.


Sarah Ronis M.D.

Sarah Ronis, M.D.

Third Year Fellow

Sarah received her medical degree in 2008 from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH.  She completed pediatric residency training at the affiliated Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital.  Sarah’s research activities in fellowship have explored the impact of health information technology interventions within the medical home, on the care of children with chronic conditions. In her free time, Sarah can be found engaged in a variety of outdoor activities, or exploring the arts and music scene around Rochester.


Andrew Sherman

Andrew Sherman, M.D.

Third Year Fellow

Andy received his medical degree from the University of St. Louis School of Medicine, and completed pediatric residency training at the University of Rochester Medical Center. His research interest is malaria prevention to protect children in sub-Saharan Africa and he operates a non-profit organization called Netlife that provides mosquito nets to rural inhabitants in West Africa. Andy enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.

 


Anne-Marie Conn MD

Anne-Marie Conn, Ph.D.

Second Year Fellow

Anne-Marie obtained her doctorate degree in general psychology, with specialization in child and adolescent development, from the University of Rochester in 2011. Her research interests involve the developmental impact of childhood adversity and preventative pediatric interventions for vulnerable children. Anne-Marie enjoys spending time with family and painting.


Robert Nutt M.D.

Robert Nutt, M.D.

Second Year Fellow

Rob earned his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, NH, and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Nutt's research focuses on identifying health disparities in underserved families and their children, particularly families of children with hearing loss. He developed an ambulatory pediatric clinic for families who communicate using American Sign Language (ASL) within the context of the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) framework at Strong Pediatric Practice. Rob enjoys; time with family and friends, short trips to the Finger Lakes in upstate New York, and warm climate vacations during the winter months.


Sean Frey MD

Sean Frey, M.D.

First Year Fellow

Sean is a general pediatrician who attended medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Rochester. He has an interest in caring for children with chronic health problems. More specifically, he has a long-standing passion for addressing the challenges associated with treating pediatric asthma. Sean would like to investigate different strategies of educating and empowering asthmatic patients and their families in a variety of care settings, with a goal of improved disease self-management.
